Smoke Detectors

When is the last time you changed the batteries and or checked your smoke detector? According to NFPA the death rate from reported fires in homes that had at least one smoke alarm was 40% lower than in homes that had no smoke alarms at all.

What is an Explorer?

An Explorer is a student ages 14-18 who have an interest in the fire service.

We are currently accepting Explorer Applications.

Dedicated, Hardworking individuals who would like to learn more about the fire service, take some classes, be a future firefighter at Hickory Tavern Fire Department.
