Last night crews were dispatched to a working structure fire on Bass Tumblin road. Entry was made by crews to extinguish the fire on the house but most of the home was damaged by heat and smoke. Later the next morning, crews were dispatched to a MVA on Hwy 252 involving 2 vehicles with injuries. Lieutenant Blackshire was first on scene in the engine and set up LZ for medic unit to fly 1 patient from scene. Check out more on fox 21 news for any updates.

For the first part of the year, Hickory Tavern Fire Department was privileged to host three of the six Fire Academy classes offered in Laurens County. In February, NIMS-ICS for the Fire Service was offered and 5 members took the class.

Crews were dispatched to a vehicle verses tree with 2 possible entrapments on Hwy 101 south Tuesday evening. Once units arrived, entrapments were confirmed and Chief Roper set up command and began scene size up.
