For the first part of the year, Hickory Tavern Fire Department was privileged to host three of the six Fire Academy classes offered in Laurens County. In February, NIMS-ICS for the Fire Service was offered and 5 members took the class. Congratulations to TJ Deeble, Daniel Blackshire, Craig Wheatley, Katie Patterson, and Tyler Barrett for successful completion. The second class was EVDT, two station 18 members are attending at this time. The next upcoming class will be Pump Operations in May. We are looking forward to what classes we will be able to host in the future.
